Sadly, Gene Wilder left us this week.
I always loved his acting. He was fantastic in “The Producers.” He was hilarious in “Blazing Saddles.” He was legendary in “Young Frankenstein.” (“No, it’s pronounced ‘Fronkensteen.'”) He was unforgettable in “Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory.” (Johnny Depp? He couldn’t compare.)
After reading Gene Wilder’s autobiography in 2006, I loved him as a human being.
Thank you for all the goodness you gave us, Gene.
